Dogsledding

Morning or afternoon excursions are available.  Yannick, Marie-Hélène and the rest of the trusted guides are waiting for you.  Once there you’ll prepare for your adventure in the warm atmosphere of an authentic log cabin (remember to dress for the weather!).  If you need anything, we always find a way to accommodate you!

Then the training starts. Marie-Hélène will present you with all the equipment and lessons you’ll need; sled handling, breaks, snow anchor, how to take turns, how to work with the dogs, when to help, when not to help.  Marie- Hélène ensures that everything is covered and nothing is overlooked.  We give you a chance to practice until all the procedures are well understood and you’re comfortable.  When you’re ready, we give you your harnessing.  The dogs have been chosen according to your weight and personality.  You’ll have a chance to get acquainted with our friendly dogs; after all, they will be your travel companions.

You’ll know that the adventure is about to begin because the dogs can barely contain their excitement. The guide will go first. Then comes your turn. You remove the snow anchor, loosen the brake and hop; the dogs pull the sled and lead you through the wooden trails. What a feeling! You become a trailblazer. Sometimes you let the dogs gently pull you; sometimes you walk behind the sled to help them. You get shrouded in the silence of a snow-covered forest. The trees pass by, snowflakes cover your face, and you take deep breaths. You won’t want the experience to end

Snowmobile Excursion

Hop on a snowmobile and discover the wild beauty of the Laurentiens!  On this trip you’ll experience the raw beauty of nature, as you pass by lakes and mountains.  Your guide will introduce you to the wonderful world of beavers, show you their dams, where they live, and explain their lifecycle.  You will also take a break in an authentic trapper cabin where you’ll be served a traditional native tea and small meal, in front of a warm fire.

Snowshoeing - Trailblazer package

Accompanied by one of our guides, you’ll tour our trails just like the explorers of centuries gone by.  During your hike, your guide will introduce you to the trees, wildlife and even show you a beaver habitat.

Whether you’re looking to soothe your body after one of our excursions or you just want to relax, come enjoy our genuine Scandinavian sauna and spa. The dry sauna, wet sauna, and refreshing pool are made even more memorable by their beautiful surroundings.  It’s the perfect way to finish off your day with us.
